Cobra Wire & Cable's Second Annual Picnic (which had to be postponed once because of Hurricane Irene) was a great event. The day turned out sunny, the food was great and everyone was together with their families. One special event, the Annual Ball Toss Competition, was a highlight and fierce competition! The 2011 winner of the Annual Ball Toss Competition was Bob Baginski. CONGRATULATIONS BOB! One of the benefits of winning this competition, besides a year of bragging rights, is selecting the charity the monies raised from the event will be donated to. Last weekend Diane Celotto from our HR department was part of the half time entertainment in Philly when the Philadelphia Soul took on the Pittsburgh Power. Diane re-joined her dance team from a few years back. Together this group danced to benefit Susan G. Komen - Fight for the Cure. The group, called “TEAM RAH-RAHS,” have donated over $100,000 to this cause. This weekend’s event came in over the $1000 mark.
Congratulations and thank you Diane for a great show and for your efforts in fighting breast cancer.
